Marymede Catholic College, Science & Digital Technology Building & AFL Oval
Marymede Catholic College is a co-educational Catholic school offering a complete education for students at their existing campus in South Morang. The College, in conjunction with the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS) are in the process of developing a new campus at Doreen. The campus is being delivered in multiple phases, to deliver an integrated Education Centre incorporating an Early Learning Centre (ELC) together with a Secondary School (Year 7 β 12) facility.
As a greenfield site, this project presented a number of challenges including:
- a significant slope across the site
- challenging geotechnical conditions including existing dams
- significant native vegetation & wildlife
- requirement to manage new connections for the site, including power, water & sewer, stormwater & comms
This is the fourth stage of Marymede Catholic Collegeβs new Doreen campus with Kosloff Architecture acting as lead designer.
This stage will consist of a two storey science & digital technology building and also include delivery of a full sized AFL oval, internal road network, staff parking and kiss & go.
