Marymede Catholic College - Gym, Performing Arts & Food Technology Building

Marymede Catholic College,Gym, Performing Arts & Food Technology Building

Marymede Catholic College is a co-educational Catholic school offering a complete education for students at their existing campus in South Morang. The College, in conjunction with the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS) are in the process of developing a new campus at Doreen. The campus is being delivered in multiple phases, to deliver an integrated Education Centre incorporating an Early Learning Centre (ELC) together with a Secondary School (Year 7 – 12) facility.

As a greenfield site, this project presented a number of challenges including:

- a significant slope across the site
- challenging geotechnical conditions including existing dams
- significant native vegetation & wildlife
- requirement to manage new connections for the site, including power, water & sewer, stormwater & comms

Stage 3 of the new Doreen campus represents a unique opportunity to create a core piece of infrastructure for the new campus and the school community, that will also offer additional amenity to St Paul the Apostle Catholic Primary School, and potentially to the broader community.

The performing arts & food technology building will be the second building delivered as part of the senior school.

This project will create a dynamic, purposeful and engaging precinct for sport, health and physical education, performing arts, food technology and hospitality for events to foster learning and growth for all students.

The facility comprises a three storey educational building including provision for music, drama, dance & food technology specialist spaces. In addition this facility will provide a double court gymnasium and two outdoor courts.
