St Mary's College, Stair and Lift Refurbishment
Following the merger of the Presentation College and Christian Brothers College campuses, St Mary's College prioritised improving accessibility throughout the St Kilda East campus.
The project focussed on installing a lift in the existing McCartney Building, constructing a new external feature stair, and refurbishing the internal interfaces.
Additionally, the main entrance to the administration building was redesigned to include an accessible ramp and an entry garden.
Fontic was engaged as Project Manager and Superintendent from design through to completion, coordinating with the school, builder, and Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools throughout the process.
The project was opened to the school for Term 1, 2023.
