Fontic delivered all project management and superintendent services for the Munarra Centre for Regional Excellence (MCRE), a leading-edge pathways and tertiary education aggregator centre in Shepparton’s major sporting precinct. This project brought together a diverse range of stakeholders, including the local community, the Department of Premier & Cabinet, the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA), Munarra Limited, Kaiela Institute, and the University of Melbourne.
The MCRE is a state-of-the-art education centre built in Shepparton’s major sporting precinct that celebrates and incorporates First Peoples culture.
The project involved two sites: refurbishment works to the existing Rumbalara Football Netball Club (RFNC) on the Northern site and the construction of a new multi-use education and community facility for Munarra Limited and University of Melbourne on the Southern site.
Fontic were engaged during Schematic Design and coordinated stakeholder consultations, workshops, completion of design and tender documentation. Fontic managed the tender, evaluation process, contract negotiation and subsequent contract administration to ensure the project’s success and alignment with community needs.
