St Kevin's College Glendalough, Sports Field & Car Park
The first of a two-stage project for St Kevin's College's Glendalough campus involved constructing an underground car park with space for approximately 130 cars, topped with a synthetic sports field, along with extensive landscaped areas and playgrounds.
The location of the primary school (Glendalough campus) in a densely populated residential neighbourhood was placing increased demand on car parking requirements. To address this, the sports field was designed to be elevated to facilitate an underground car park below. Comprehensive site investigations were carried out to identify existing unidentified services, contamination, rock or soft spots.
